BT Business Enterprise was established in 2003 by Betty Mashiane, who herself began her work experience as a cleaner. She developed a passion for the maintenance industry and saw an opportunity to turn her experience into a profitable business. Bt business Enterprise provides a range of services in various areas of mantenance. These include management of vegetation, cleaning services, gardening, landscaping, window and carpet cleaning and eventually evolved to include the provision of catering services. The company has trained most of its employees in health and safety courses relevant in the industry.
This iniative was spurred by investments government was making towards assisting previously disadvantaged individuals and communities in skills development. BT Business Enterprise is commited to helping individuals by employment and skills development in its various operations. In this way the sustainable development of communities is assured. BT Business Enterprise started with 4 employees in 2003 and has since grown to a staff complement of 100 permanent employees and 30 temporary employees for grass cutting during the rainy season.
We service Eskom and all municipalities. Eskom remains our longest standing customer. We have been successful in retaining their account since 2003 and have expanded through many of its operations including Eskom Transmission and Eskom Distribution.
